Today, the Commonwealth of Virginia is the 5th largest producer of wine in the United States. The Monticello Wine Trail is Virginia’s crown-jewel, truly fulfilling Thomas Jefferson’s vision of wine-making in Virginia.
Norm’s Transportation offers a variety of tours to Charlottesville area wineries. You can choose and customize your tour from the wineries listed below OR pair a couple of wineries with a historic attraction if you’d like. We’ll take you there in style and get you back safe and sound! We typically use full or mid-sized SUVs, vans and sedans. We can accommodate up to 11 passengers. NOTE: Groups of 7 or more must make reservations at the individual vineyards in their tour. We cannot do that for you. Norm’s Transportation’s tour pricing is for the group, not per person.

King Family Vineyards offers great wine coupled with breathtaking vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and a top-notch staff who understands hospitality. The vineyard is well known for its Meritage, a Bordeaux style blend of four red varietals. King Family offers a gourmet assortment of chocolates, cheeses, salamis, spreads, and hot French bread. Veritas Vineyard and Winery started as the family’s labor of love and has grown into one of the best event destinations in the region. Enjoy their popular wines and relax in the elegant tasting room, from the porch or on the lawn featuring breathtaking views.
Afton Mountain Vineyards – If their slogan “grapes don’t grow in ugly places” is true, they have nothing to worry about: Afton Mountain Vineyards is surrounded by beautiful vistas. The beautiful setting, welcoming atmosphere and excellent wines make it a memorable stop on your tour.
Jefferson Vineyards realizes Thomas Jefferson’s dream for making fine Virginia wine. They still grow the majority of their fruit on sites selected by Jefferson in 1774. Trump Winery is situated in the heart of the Monticello Wine Trail and features almost 1,300 acres of breathtaking scenery. Enjoy the view while sipping award-winning white, red, and sparkling wines. Blenheim Vineyards Dave Matthews established Blenheim in 2000. The winery is set in a beautiful location, and the view for the back deck is gorgeous. The great thing about Blenheim is that while you enjoy the view, you can enjoy some good wine as well. Blenheim Vineyard’s website
Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards is Charlottesville’s newest boutique winery & vineyard. It offers something few other vineyards have: a topnotch restaurant-like experience.
